It is ideal for applications such as data logging, system configuration, timing, error logging, and communications in extreme environments. This device features a 16K (2Kx8) memory array with a 70ns access time and a low-voltage CMOS process. It includes an SPI serial bus interface, 56Kbits of non-volatile EEPROM memory, and a battery to keep the memory active during power interruptions. It is a stand-alone device requiring no external components. It has an operating temperature range of -40°C to +85°C, making it suitable for a wide range of industrial applications. The device also features an Integrated Voltage Monitor (IVM) that helps maintain data integrity during power-on/off cycles.
