The UC2842B is a series of high-performance integrated circuits built by STMicroelectronics and designed to provide versatile and efficient control of isolated step-up, step-down and flyback DC-DC converters. This 8 mini-DIP package IC is capable of generating output voltages from below regulated inputs. It features Boost and Flyback Regulator Positive, Isolation Capable, Output Step-Up, Step-Up/Step-Down pulse width modulation (PWM) controllers. UC2842BN can also withstand wide range of inputs consumption, be operated at high switching frequencies, and provide excellent output regulation. Furthermore, thermal shutdown and short-circuit protection are integrated logic to minimize the risk of physical damage.
