The TSOP98340 with Infrared Receivers Minicast 40kHz AGC3 manufactured by Vishay is a low-power infrared receiver module for remote control and IR data applications. It features a built-in Automatic Gain Control (AGC3) to compensate for any variation of ambient light and a wide angle of acceptances to ensure a consistent response from long and short range. The receiver includes an internal shield that filters out unwanted noise in the input signal that can reduce the response time and decrease the operating range. The module is built with a miniature package that features a DIP-4 SMT pinout and is RoHS compliant.
