The TIP42C is a TO-220 Bipolar Transistor (BJT) with RoHS compliant packaging manufactured by JSMSEMI. It is a PNP type transistor with a continuous collector current rating of 4A and a peak current rating of 8A. It has a voltage rating of 30V and a power dissipation rating of 625mW with an allowable ambient temperature rating between -55C to +150C. The TIP42C is ideal for use in switching and amplification applications such as audio amplifiers and general-purpose switches.
