Technology The TC4420CAT is a linear, low-side MOSFET driver from Microchip Technology. The device is capable of driving up to 8A of load current with an operating voltage of 6-30V. It offers a wide range of protection features including current average limit, input voltage clamp, and thermal shutdown. Additionally, it features an adjustable current sense resistor that sets the current threshold at which the over-current protection takes effect. The TC4420CAT is ideal for driving LEDs, motors and solenoids as well as other inductive loads.
