Additional Infomation About Product

The 74HC4040PW.112 part from Nexperia is a 12-stage binary ripple counter with a reset feature. This part is a monolithic MOS integrated circuit designed to count up to 4096 (219-1) pulses with each clock pulse. It operates from a 2.0V to 6.0V power supply range, and it has low power-on reset and asynchronous reset input pins. The outputs are open collector and are designed to sink up to 32mA. This device has bilateral bus hold on all address inputs, which provides improved bus stability during transitions of the bus. In order to ensure accurate counting, the successful passage of all clock pulses must be ensured.
