The L6574D from STMicroelectronics is a ballast controller with a single channel and is housed in a SO16 case. It is an electronic part that offers driver-on-chip solutions and can be used for the control of fluorescent lamps, street lighting and general lighting applications. It is designed to increase the efficiency of lamps and their lifetime and reduce power consumption and cost. The L6574D also offers an extended range of protections against critical operating conditions and protection against lamp burn-out. It also features an advanced sleep mode feature with no additional power disconnect and provides full flexibility of system design.
