The TIP50 part of STMicroelectronics is a NPN Darlington Transistor which is ideally suited for use as an amplifier and switch for switching high current and high voltage applications. The collector-emitter saturation voltage of this transistor is very low, thus allowing high switching speeds with low power dissipation. It has a useful dynamic range of operation, with a maximum current gain of 500. This part is primarily intended for use in industrial and automotive applications.
