MP8606 6A, 6.5V, Fast-Transient, Synchronous Step-Down Converter The Future of Analog IC Technology DESCRIPTION FEATURES The MP8606 is a fully-integrated, high- 6A Continuous Output Current frequency, synchronous, rectified step-down 14m Internal High-Side Power Switches switch-mode converter. It offers a very compact 8m Internal Low-Side Power Switches solution to achieve 6A of continuous output Input Operation Range: 2.9V to 6.5V current from a 2.9V-to-6.5V input with excellent Adjustable Output Down to 0.6V load and line regulation. Programmable Switching Frequency Hiccup Over-Current Protection The advanced PWM scheme provides fast transient response and eases loop stabilization. Programmable Soft-Start Time Thermal Shutdown The MP8606 integrates a 14m high-side Power-Good Output switch and an 8m low-side synchronous 3mmx4mm Flip-Chip Package switch for high efficiency without an external Schottky diode. Fault protections include peak APPLICATIONS current limiting, hiccup over-current protection, P/ASIC/DSP/FPGA Core and I/O Supplies and thermal shutdown.
