The STR1550 is a low-voltage, high-performance and low-power, direct-drive switching converter power management IC from STMicroelectronics. It combines a high-density advanced integrated circuit (IC) with advanced power component design to deliver an efficient and reliable DC-DC converter solution. Designed to operate in a wide range of temperature and voltage input ranges, it is suitable for handheld, battery-powered applications. It features an integrated 1.2A low drop out voltage regulator and can provide up to 1.5A of current, making it suitable for both battery-powered and AC-powered end-applications. In addition, it offers multiple protection features such as over current, short circuit, external component failure, and thermal shutdown.
